United Way of Amarillo & Canyon’s Annual Day of Caring will connect over 500 volunteers to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations throughout Amarillo and Canyon:
- Friday, May 1st, 2026
- 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Day of Caring is a community wide event, and excellent opportunity for volunteers to give back. They will be eager to help in any way they can!
Useful Tips
Your agency is expected to provide restrooms and an area for volunteers to take breaks and eat lunch, although water, snacks, and lunch will be provided by the United Way of Amarillo & Canyon.
Volunteers will arrive at the project location at 9 a.m. and all projects should be completed no later than 4 p.m., unless prior arrangements have been made with the United Way of Amarillo & Canyon Staff.
Volunteers enjoy working hard on projects such as packing food, landscaping, or painting. Please note, most volunteers are most likely not highly skilled in construction, so please adjust the scope of your project accordingly.
Also, the media may record this event, as well as United Way of Amarillo & Canyon representatives taking photographs. If there is a confidentiality issue with your clients on site, please advise us, and we will be happy to accommodate.
To submit your project, please register by filling in the Project Proposal Form.
This form must be completed by no later than Wednesday, April 1st.
